A while back I was contacted by a New York-based publication Wine Enthusiast Magazine. The magazine was running an article about Scotland’s first female head distiller, Rachel Barrie. They felt my style would suit the commercial photography portraits they were looking for. In the internet age, it’s very important to present yourself in the best possible light.
We started at Bowmore’s offices in Glasgow. From there we went to their Auchentoshan distillery. Based in Clydebank on the outskirts of Scotland’s biggest city. I had a great time meeting with Rachel. Being shown around at a couple of their sites. Learning about the in-depth process and history that involved in creating a bottle of whiskey. It’s such an interesting and history-rich story. I found it fascinating. Definitely, something to think about the next time I enjoy a wee dram!
